Roots and Rhythms2024

We supported a farm business to shift decision making to consider all life, not only people.

Six months of life-centred R&D on a working farm, testing decisions against fourteen more-than-human personas.

Defra Land Use Framework2025

We brought the living world into a national land use consultation.

Thirty-four people spoke as Oak, River, Mayfly, Curlew. Every part of the formal response came from words in the room.

Growing 20402026

We took forty people fifteen years into their own food future.

Growers, policy makers and retailers imagined 2040 together, and the stories went back to the people who grow the food.

Who we are

George Simons
and Julian Ellerby.

Between us, more than two decades leading innovation and creative work for global organisations: producing, facilitating and designing ambitious projects. Now we're turning that experience outward, towards the living world and the places where change begins. We are researchers, facilitators, designers, writers and walkers, practitioners who work outside and at the edges.

We always work alongside experts in the fields the work touches: ecologists, farmers, designers, scientists and the people who know a place best.
